Mitchell shoe tree June 27,2016

When we saw this tree coming toward us on the side of the road, I could not figure out what it was. Full of white, it looked like a tree overrun with shell tree fungus. It wasn't until we were upon it that the shoes snapped into focus. Amazing that so many folks would go to so much trouble to get all those shoes high into the tree!! Sorry, but couldn't figure out how to upload the photo from my phone.
